The Second Phase of Medical Equipment handover program was held on Wednesday, 17th August, 2016 at the HRA head office, Dhobichaur, Lazimpat. During the program the Australian Ambassador to Nepal His Excellency Glenn White handed over the Medical Equipment to Mr. D. B. Koirala, Chairman of HRA. These equipments were purchased with the financial support from DAP Grant, Australian Embassy.

Medical Equipment handed over to HRA at the First Phase:
1.    Oxygen Concentrators (2 sets)
2.    Portable Altitude Chamber (2 sets)
3.     Pulse Oximeter (4 sets)
4.    Satellite Phone (3 sets) and
5.    Light Weight Laptop Computer (1 set)

Medical Equipment handed over to HRA at the Second Phase:
1.    Long Distance Cordless Phone (1 set)
2.    Light Weight Stretcher (6 sets)
3.    Light Weight O2 Cylinder with Regulator (3 each) – 6 sets
4.    Manang Aid-post Wiring & Plumbing
5.    O2 Cylinder -4
6.    ECG Machine

The Advisors of HRA, Executive Members and Convenor & members of Medical and Communication Equipment Purchase Committee, and media personalities were present during the programme.

Welcoming the guest in the Programme, Chairman Mr. Koirala high lighted on the activities of HRA and expressed sincere gratitude to the Ambassador and Embassy for all the support provided to HRA. The Ambassador also admired the works of HRA team and expressed happiness on the strong relationship between HRA & Embassy and hope for the best in the futures too. H.E. also informed that he is planning to visit HRA Manang Aid-post soon. Mr. Koirala assured that “using these life saving equipments our volunteer doctors will provide better medical services to the needy people in the mountain”.
